  Bill served as Fire Chief for the Toronto Fire Services from May 1, 2003 to April 30, 2012 at which time he retired from the service after serving 39 and half years. Prior to the amalgamation of the new City of Toronto on January 1, 1998, Bill served in the former City of North York Fire Department for 26 years. He served as an operations fire fighter, Captain, Administration Chief, Assistant Deputy, Deputy Chief and ultimately as the Fire Chief from May 1, 2003 to April 30, 2012.  Bill currently serves as a Director and a Past Canada Branch and International President of the Institution of Fire Engineers and is a Past President of the Metropolitan Fire Chiefs Association, International Association of Fire Chiefs/National Fire Protection Association. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Fire Protection Association as well as a Director of the Canadian Fallen Fire Fighters Foundation. Bill has served as a member of the Professional Standards Setting Body, Ontario Fire College in the review of all standards for fire fighter training in Ontario; and continues to serve as an Advisory Board Member of Humber College, Fire Services Program; and is past member of the Board of Directors for the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council. Bill is committed to lifelong learning, and is a past Board Member for Public Administration and Governance, Ryerson University. Bill has also served as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces as a commissioned officer and as a non-commissioned officer.
  Bill is a graduate of the Ontario Fire College, Technology Diploma Programs, general and advanced levels and the Executive Development Program; Canadian Emergency Preparedness College; Public Administration and Governance Certificate from Ryerson University; and Honorary Degree from Humber College, Bachelor of Applied Studies.
  Bill also holds professional designations from various institutions including the: Institution of Fire Engineers, Fellow of the Institution of Fire Engineers, FIFireE; Ontario Municipal Management Institute, Certified Municipal Manager CMM; and the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs, Chief Fire Officer, CFO.
 Dwayne is Fire Chief of Toronto's Pearson International Airport - one of North America's busiest transport hubs.  Dwayne oversees the Airport Fire Department as well as the prestigious Fire and Emergency Services Training Institute.
  Dwayne started his firefighting career with the Canadian Armed Forces in 1988 as a Recruit Firefighter.  Throughout his 14 years service, he acquired expertise in emergency firefighting procedures and became Platoon Chief for the Department of National Defence (DND).  Dwayne is a Fire Service Instructor for the following courses: Structural Fires, Aircraft Rescue Firefighting, Automobile Fires and Casualty Extrication Ops, Confined Spaces, Special Problem Fires, Shipboard Firefighter, Hazardous Material Incidents, Classroom Instruction, Fire Inspection, Fire Investigations, Medical Ops and Training Ops. Dwayne accepted the position of Fire Service Instructor in 2001 and was promoted to Deputy Fire Chief in January of 2006 and Fire Chief in May of 2014.  He is certified by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) and Oklahoma State University for numerous National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.

     Jason Reid has been active with IFE Canada for over eight years, and currently is Senior Advisor for National Life Safety Group, a firm specializing in high-rise safety & facility fire, life safety & emergency management.
    
Jason is a Provincial Instructor for the Province of Ontario in Emergency Management (BEM) and a certified Crisis Communications Planner, also certified in Federal programs for Emergency Operations Centre Management and Site Incident Command.
    
Jason is the current Chair of the Fire & Emergency Management Committee; Resilient Communities Ontario, and past Chair, BOMA Toronto Emergency Management Committee.
    
Jason is a firm believer in the free sharing of best practices and is a sought after speaker at industry conferences and professional events.   Jason is a proud father of two beautiful girls; Lauren & Emma.


  Ben served as treasurer for the Canada Branch of the Institution of Fire Engineers from 2007-2017.  He has a strong background in fire protection and emergency services from his 15+ years as a Fire Safety Inspection Supervisor at Siemens Canada Ltd,  Building Technologies Division and his 16 years with St. John Ambulance where he is a Certified First Aid & CPR Instructor and a Unit Chief of a Medical Response Unit in Etobicoke, Ontario.
  Ben brings a wealth of experience to the IFE Executive Board as well as many other associations including the Canadian Fire Alarm Association and Underwriters Laboratories of Canada (ULC).

    Chief Stephen Gamble entered the fire service in 1978 as a volunteer firefighter with the City of Port Coquitlam and was hired as a full time career firefighter with the City on June 27th, 1980.
   In 1996, Chief Gamble was promoted to the position of Assistant Fire Chief of Operations and Emergency Preparedness Coordinator with the City of Port Coquitlam.  As a result of the long term absence of the Fire Chief in 2001, Chief Gamble was promoted to Acting Fire Chief for the Department and in 2003 he was appointed the position of Fire Chief/Emergency Coordinator for the City of Port Coquitlam. 
   In January 2011 Chief Gamble assumed his current position as Fire Chief with the Township of Langley. 
   Chief Gamble has over 12 years’ experience as an adjunct instructor with the Justice Institute of BC and along with a number of certifications holds a Certificate in Municipal Management with the University of Capilano, a Bachelor’s Degree in Justice and Public Leadership with Simon Fraser University as well he retains two designations – Chief Fire Officer (CFO) with the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs and Fellow (FIFireE) with the Institution of Fire Engineers.
   Chief Gamble served as President with the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC) from 2012-2014, CAFC 1st VP from 2010-2012, 2nd VP 2009-2010, and as BC Executive Board Representative with the CAFC from 2007-2009. 
   Chief Gamble, in addition to numerous committee and appointments with the Fire Chief’s Association of BC (FCABC) since 1996 has also served as FCABC President from 2007-2011, FCABC Past President 2011-2012, FCABC 1st VP 2006-2007, and Chair of the Provincial Fire Service Liaison Committee (FSLG) from 2007 to 2011.
   Chief Gamble has also been a member and Director for the BC Group of the Canadian Institute of Fire Engineers since 2003.

       Native of Kingsville, Ontario.  Captain Lane started his firefighting career with the Lacombe Volunteer Fire Department, Lacombe Alberta in 1994. Progressing from firefighter to Captain/Assistant Training Officer. In 1999 Dave accepted a position as a full-time Instructor for the Alberta Fire Training school, Vermilion Alberta, and instructing structural fire fighting operations, vehicle extrication, fire officer, incident command, hazmat, fire service instructor and industrial fire fighting courses. After two and a half years he transferred to AFTS’s Fort McMurray operations, as an Instructor teaching numerous firefighting programs. Dave completed his emergency medical responder training and certification in September of 2000 and his emergency medical technician – ambulance training in March of 2005. In September of 2003 Dave accepted a position as a full-time industrial firefighter with Albian Sands Energy Inc. in Fort McMurray.
​    Captain Lane developed from a fire fighter position to a emergency Co-ordinator (Captain position, were he spent two and a half years until he accepted the position of Fire Service Instructor at the GTAA FESTI in December of 2007. Currently Dave is responsible for the delivery of all Technical rescue programs for FESTI NFPA 1006 awareness, rope rescue, confined space rescue and industrial rope rescue. Dave is certified by the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) and Oklahoma State University for numerous National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.
