CFO (Chief Fire Officer) Designation

IFE Canada Branch is proud to be involved with the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs and the CFO Designation Program.  The CFO Designation is held in high regard throughout the fire service, as a mark of the achievements, experience, knowledge and dedication of Chief Fire Officers across Canada.

IFE Canada Branch holds the responsibility of accepting and processing applications for the CFO Designation in Canada.  All Chief Fire Officers are encouraged to apply for the designation through the application process.

As a Chief Fire Officer with the CFO Designation, successful individuals are also able to apply directly for the corporate grades of Associate, Graduate or Member with the Institution of Fire Engineers.  The process is generally simple at that point as the CFO Designation itself is a fair mark of having met the requirements of those membership grades.  Chief Fire Officers with the CFO Designation and an IFE corporate grade are recognized globally through the reach of the IFE and its networks.

For more information, or to apply for the CFO Designation, click the link below or visit the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs' website and find the CFO Program information under the Education tab.
